Is a Graphic Design Certification Necessary to Succeed as a Graphic Designer?

One of the biggest arguments that still makes the rounds in the art world is whether art and graphic design can be taught. Let's say you want to become a graphic designer, but you think this sacrifice of going to school for a graphic design certificate or degree is not worth the trouble. Is graphic design certification necessary? Do you need a piece of paper with your name on it to land a good graphic design job? The short answer is no, you don't really need a certificate to validate your skills and success as graphic designer. But the long answer is that it can't hurt if you do decide to study and invest money to become a better graphic designer than you already are.

Nowadays, there aren't nearly as many people taking road trips as there once was because of the high gas prices as well as the number of people who are trying to save money by not driving their vehicles as much. There are various reasons as to why road trips are good as well as why they may not be such a hot idea.
 
 For starters, road trips often end up costing you much more money than you initially may have thought. 5 Steps to a Healthy Back

Dealing with chronic back pain is not only debilitating but it is also frustrating. You want to be able to do the things you love without constant pain and limitations. Avoiding back injury and strain can help keep your back strong and flexible. Here are just a few things you can do to help maintain good back health.
 
 1. Proper lifting: Many back injuries are caused by improper lifting. When lifting a heavy object, be sure to lift with your knees and hips, not your back. Spread your feet wide apart, and as you lift, keep your lower back arched inward by pulling your shoulders back and your chest forward. Keep the load close to your body and be sure to set it down again in the same manner.
 
 2. Carrying: How you carry heavy objects can be just as damaging to your back as lifting them can be. The important thing to remember when carrying a heavy object is to keep your hips, shoulders and head aligned. Keep the object as close as possible to your body with your elbows tucked into your sides.
 
 3. Sleeping: Believe it or not, how you sleep can also affect back health. Sleeping on your stomach can pull the spine out of place and cause discomfort. The best position for sleep is on your side with your knees bent. If you prefer to sleep on your back, it is sometimes easier on your back to place a pillow under your knees or under the small of your back. Also, be sure to keep your feet flat on the floor and your weight evenly distributed on both hips. Slouching is a sure way to develop back pain, so pull your chair in close and try to have your work at eye level. Be sure to take short breaks where you stand and stretch your back often throughout the day.

How to LEAP in Life!

There is a lot that we can learn from them. One of their biggest success / performance characteristics is that they Live with Energy And Passion. It is this , drive and commitment that make them LEAP in life and rise above the rest. They believe in what they are doing and they go for it 100% without holding anything back. 
Realise that it is possible for you to do and have the same. If they can do it, so can you! Here are two suggestions how you could develop this winning of these extraordinary individuals. 
The first suggestion is that you need to understand that there are two very important sides to living with high levels of energy. On the one hand, you need to constantly push yourself just outside of your comfort zone. This means that you must always strive to improve yourself in every area of your life and not be afraid to try something new. 
You have to consciously decide to challenge yourself. At first this is a very difficult choice to make. Itâ€™s not easy to deliberately move outside of your comfort zone. The uncertainty will increase the fear inside you. Expect this, but know that in the bigger picture you are increasing your capacity and performance, which is the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. 
On the other hand you also need to allow yourself time to recover your expended energy. You were not made to constantly push yourself without taking time to recover. If you do, you will eventually have no energy left and just fade away or burn out. Recovery time is essential! Regain your spent energy and give your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual muscles time to grow. The key to high energy levels is to find the right balance between pushing yourself and then taking time to recover. The second suggestion is that it is just as important to live with passion as it is to live with energy. Your level of passion or enthusiasm is a direct consequence of how much you believe in what you are doing. If you are passionate about what you are doing, you will go the extra mile effortlessly. You will not do anything half heartedly. To live with such passion, ask yourself what you truly believe your mission and life purpose is. Write and rewrite it until you have it in a single sentence. Make it your ultimate mission in life to fulfil this purpose. Youâ€™ll find that your passion will increase the more you commit to this purpose.
